Künstlerstatement

When we are faced with some decisions about life, we often hesitate. We hesitate about what to do next, about which choice is the right one for us. Or we are faced with something that we have to explain, but we don’t know how to talk about it, how to choose a way to say it. So in the series “Have You Figured Out What To Do?”, I’m exploring these particular emotions. Exploring them is more of an exploration of the self. By exploring the self, I’m looking at the self in relation to the self, and I’m looking at the self in relation to the environment. So in this series I’m not bound to a single emotional expression, human emotions are subtle and changeable and unfathomable. So I try to create a scene surrounded by various subtle emotions. In this scene we look for an emotion that we perceive as our own, and we label the scene with our own label. That’s why every time I describe a few series I’ve recently created, I always put new labels on them to make them more suitable for me at the moment.

Künstlerbiografie

I was born in 1998 in Shanxi Province, China, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Painting from Guizhou Normal University, China in 2021. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in painting at the albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, Italy. I have been using painting to explore myself and express myself. Let my paintings convey inner feelings, thoughts and understanding of the world.
